Joseph Duthie is an associate at Ritholz Levy Fields LLP. Joseph’s practice involves identifying and communicating intellectual property issues, and negotiating and drafting a wide variety of entertainment-related agreements for the firm’s clients in the music, video games, television and film industries.
Joseph graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School with a Certificate in Intellectual Property, Media and Information Law. During law school, Joseph served as Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society, was a member The Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial & Commercial Law, and participated in the law school's mediation clinic.
Prior to joining Ritholz Levy Fields LLP as a law clerk, Joseph worked as a legal intern at Sony Music Entertainment and Harry Fox Agency, volunteered at Volunteer Lawyers For The Arts, and served as student liaison of the Music Committee of the Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry and a Bachelor of Arts in Sound Recording from the University of New Haven.
