Carl Kleidman is a partner at Ritholz Levy Fields LLP and brings over 30 years of experience to the firm as an M&A and corporate attorney. Prior to joining RLF, Carl has been both a partner at several law firms as well as general counsel at a select number of private equity funds. His areas of focus include representing both sellers and buyers in M&A transactions, capital raising transactions for private and public companies, investments by private equity/venture capital funds, fund formation, and representing start-up and early-stage companies in their various corporate needs. Carl also worked as a managing director and principal of a private equity fund and a managing director of two investment banking firms, which enables him to understand, structure, and negotiate on behalf of his clients with a full knowledge of the legal as well as business and investment considerations at hand.
Carl received his J.D. from Cornell University School of Law in 1982 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Syracuse University in 1979.
